Artist’s Description
“Breaking News” is the first painting I ever created — and the moment I discovered my love for painting.
The idea came to me in May 2025, when visiting my parents in Denmark, and it took me six months to build the courage to begin. I’m grateful I finally did, because this painting marked the beginning of my life as an artist.
When I paint, I feel calm and present — like I’ve found an outlet that finally fits who I am.
There are no rules. And I don't like rules.
What comes to mind goes onto the canvas.
The message of “Breaking News” reflects my own life just as much as it reflects my parents’. Painting pulled me away from the illusion — the screens, the noise, and the constant feeling of trying to be useful while lacking purpose.
During the days I spent creating this piece, something changed.
I painted from early morning to late evening and barely touched my phone.
For the first time in years, I felt clarity and grounding in the present moment.
“Breaking News” broke the mold of my two-decade fixation with the digital world — the illusion I’d been living inside.
This painting set me free.
I’m grateful.
I’m proud.
And for the first time in a long time, I feel endless energy.
I feel reborn.
